Cambridge First for Schools – Writing Paper set text (2015)

If you are studying for Cambridge First for Schools and plan to sit the exam in 2015,  you have the option to read a set text – in other words, a recommended book.  There will be an optional question in the Writing Paper Part 2 about it. This ‘set text’ (in other words, book) question is optional and applies only to the Writing Papers for FCE for Schools.

Set text for Cambridge English: First for Schools January 2015 – December 2016:

  • Rosemary Sutcliff: The Eagle of the Ninth (Oxford bookworms edition)

The Cambridge English: First for Schools exam now has one set text, with one set text question on the paper, not two as before.

Candidates should not attempt the optional set text question in Part 2 unless they have the necessary understanding of the text to answer the task set.

Set texts have been discontinued in the revised Cambridge English: Advanced exam.

Reading

Reading – FCE Advanced – and for interest!
